Blind Spots brings together Chandler's interests in painting, photography, prints, landscape, and light and color as well as environmental concerns. Major components of this series are the shifting horizonal bands and Chandler's embrace of alternative camera techniques, such as intentional camera moment, multiple exposure, and image stacking, This work is evocative of the range of light and color of Coastal Oregon and Oregon's Willamette Valley.
"Light Moment" is an abstraction with a dynamic blend of horizontal bands sweeping across a watery field. The color palette is rich and varied, featuring a mix of cool and warm hues such as purples, blues, pinks, and orange shades, with hints of white and teal adding contrast and depth. The overall effect is vibrant and expressive, evoking an emotional response through its bold use of color and form. ©wadechandler 2024
